'07 VW Rabbit Air Conditioning

jhpadgett 14 September 2008 21:09:54
I have a 2007 VW Rabbit. Recently when I turn on the air conditioner I get a funky "cheese" smell that comes out. Has anyone ever heard of this? Is there an easy fix or do I need to take it to the dealer to get it checked out?

I have had it also from my AC in my Pontiac. I think it is from mold. The mold come from the water that is expended from the humid air when the air is cooled by your AC and the mold just developes in the wetness. You can get an AC deoderiser from Checker Auto Parts and that worked fine for mine. Good Luck. djw46@att.net
